Museo do Viño

The exhibit's story takes us through history, art, geography, pop culture, as well as all the winegrowing aspects of the Rías Baixas D.O region. The distribution of the building allows for the combination of tradition in wine production and the most modern technologies. In the older part of the building, the exhibit focuses on tradition and history of wine in the municipality of O Salnés. The new part of the facilities features modern panels and audiovisuals in different rooms, where the cultivation and production of albariño wine is explained in a consice and timely manner. The museum is distributed among three floors. On the top floor is the reception area, store, history of wine, winegrowing investigations, viticulture and tools used for harvest. The floor below that features a wine press and still, an outdoors exhibit area, another interior area dedicated to temporary exhibits, as well as one dedicated to everything about the production of wine, wineries, tastings, etc. Finally, on the ground floor there is a library, open to all those who wish to use it. The museum is also known for offering and organising various courses related to the winegrowing world.

Winter hours: from 10:00 to 14:00 and from 16:30 to 19:30 (closed on Sunday afternoons and Mondays). Summer hours: from 10:00 to 14:00 and from 17:00 to 20:00 (closed on Sunday afternoons and Mondays).
