Pazo A Capitana

A winery with history and sill where traditional techniques are combined with the most modern ones, so as to obtain magnificent albariño wines and an espadeiro that is appreciated for its quality and rarity, which you can enjoy without having to leave A Capitana. The winery has four centennial stone winepresses, which give the impression that in times past it was one of the largest centres of wine production in the entire area of Val del Salnés. Today, the four winepresses continue to work, one of them dedicated to the pressing of the autoctonous reds, seeing as the albariño wines are processed using newer technologies. We invite you to our winery to get to know first hand every detail of the process, from the collection of the grapes in our fields to the moment they become the famous wines of O Salnés. A recent renovation of the house turned this centennial pazo (manor) into a comfortable facility that recovers the old splendor of times past. The fields that surround it have also been recovered, with a surface area of 24,000 square metres. The house is dedicated to rural tourism and features 11 rooms with air conditioning, complete bathrooms, telephone, TV and hi-fi; one of them conditioned for handicapped visitors. It also features a cozy dining room, comfortable living room, meeting room, café-bar and on-site parking. To complete the magnificent facilities is the gorgeous and groomed garden that surrounds the house. Plus, A Capitana is located just 300 metres from the centre of a historic-artistic site of great significance, such is Cambados. It is also just a few kilometres away from some of the best beaches of Rías Baixas and towns that are well worth the visit.
